Charitable Activities

The Caddick Group have a very proactive record for the support that its gives to Charitable Organisations.  This is provided in two ways:

Charitable Contribution

These are in the form of local charities and donations to charities associated with our projects. 


Three Peaks Challenge

September 2013 – Ten members of the Caddick team completed the three peak challenge in the Peak District to raise money for the Leeds Ruby Foundation who assist both Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie with the delivery of their sport, health and educational work with children and young people living in communities throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. 


Best Foot Forward - Peppa Foundation Charity Walk, Aylesbury

October 2012 - Ten members of the Caddick team put their best feet forward for the Pepper Foundation and took part in a 6 mile sponsored walk.  The charity provides nurses who support seriously-ill children at home throughout the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire area. 

Coronation Street actress and Pepper Ambassador Wendi Peters was amongst the 100 people who completed the route which followed part of the Grand Union Canal and took in part of Whippendell Woods, near Watford.

 

CRASH Dragon Boat Racing, Salford Quays

June 2011 - Caddick Construction entered a team in the CRASH Dragon Boat Racing at Salford Quays.  CRASH is the construction industries charity for homeless people. 

The Caddick Construction team (Caddick Crew) raised approximately £1,000 for the charity.

The Yorkshire Charity

Paul and his wife Alex Caddick set up this Appeal over five years ago, after Alex had received treatment from her oncologist, Professor Alan Melcher, who had explained his ground breaking work that he was undertaking at St James’s Hospital in Leeds, right in the heart of Yorkshire. 

Professor Melcher’s team have been working on an intense research programme and have recently had an amazing breakthrough which could open up a new front in the fight against cancer by harnessing a virus to deliver a double blow to tumours. 

Over the past two years, The Yorkshire Charity has donated £20,000 to help this pioneering reseach team.


Leeds Rugby Foundation

Caddick Group plc; owner of Leeds Rugby is extremely active in the local community; engaging young people in sport, health, education social inclusion and arts & culture via the Leeds Rugby Foundation. 

Leeds Rugby Foundation is Leeds Rugby’s registered charity (Reg Charity No 1112580).  The Foundation was formed in 2006 to assist both Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Carnegie with the delivery of their sport, health and educational work with children and young people living in communities throughout Leeds and Yorkshire. 

Caddick Construction are official partners by way of substantial donations.
