Caddick were awarded Phase 2A R-evolution 36 at Gateway 36 industrial scheme near Barnsley for client Eos Inc Limited, part of the Harworth Group Plc.
The works consisted of the construction of three Grade-A steel-framed speculative industrial and logistics units. Unit 1 was split into two units of 10,000 sq. ft each, unit 2 is 49,500 sq. ft and unit 3 is 38,500 sq. ft, 10% of each unit size was allocated to office accommodation. External works comprised of service yards, car parking, dock-level loading doors, associated highways and off-site drainage work.
The units were designed and constructed to a ‘Very Good’ rating under the latest BREEAM legislation.
Each unit incorporated a range of sustainability credentials including 11% photovoltaic panels fitted to provide power to the office space, rainwater harvesting for toilet flushing, use of recycled and natural products where possible, EV charge points and air source heating and cooling of office space.
