Bolt Works, Halifax

Construction of a brand new neighbourhood of 122 homes built specifically for private rent in the town centre of Halifax.

The site was previously used as a car park occupying the entire site which was demolished in 2016.

The project is a mix of high quality, energy-efficient 1 and 2 bed apartments with bike storage and electric car charging points.

Bolt Works represents Placefirst’s most sustainable project to date, with a “fabric first” approach being taken to maximise the thermal performance of the building in addition to renewable and efficient technologies including photovoltaic panels, air source heat pumps, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, and wastewater heat recovery.
