Caddick has been awarded the contract to construct Phase 1 of the new development at Croft Retail Park, located off the A41 in Bromborough, which is being funded by a £5.2million loan from Merseyside Pension Fund.
This initial phase encompasses the design and construction of two new industrial facilities. Unit 1 will be a standalone 24,002 sq. ft single-span portal steel framed building, featuring occupier's fitted mezzanines and internal walls. Meanwhile, Unit 2 will be a 14,986 sq. ft single-span portal steel framed building, subdivided into four smaller units. Both units will be erected on in-situ reinforced concrete pad foundations.
The external facades will feature 'built-up' metal cladding systems, incorporating curtain walling along with vehicle and personnel doors.
External works comprise of all hard standings, car parking facilities, landscaping, main services, and drainage systems. This includes the construction of newly adopted access roads and a new substation.
The project is one of the most prominent development sites on the Wirral and will create over 85 employment opportunities within the local area.
