The Moorside Road development involves the construction of a new housing estate featuring high-specification, energy-efficient homes (2, 3, & 4 bedrooms) in the Eccleshill area of Bradford. Caddick Civil Engineering is responsible for the crucial groundwork and infrastructure works needed to prepare the site for construction.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Infrastructure

  • Installation of all adoptable sewers including a foul water pumping station and associated rising main, PCC attenuation tank and associated large diameter storage pipes and flow control etc, to an off-site outfall down a steep embankment.
  • Construction of adoptable roads under S38 agreement, driveways, footpaths, and parking areas with appropriate paving and tarmac finishes.
  • Trenching and backfilling for essential utilities; gas, water, electricity, BT, and green ducts for each plot.
  • Construction of retaining walls up to 3.2m high to accommodate level variations.
  • Section 278 Works on a busy A-road to form junction improvements.

Groundworks

  • Preparation of foundations for 311 houses and landscaping.
  • Installation of a comprehensive drainage system to manage surface water and prevent flooding.
