Knights View - Langold, Worksop

Knights View is a new development in Langold, Worksop, offering contemporary 3 and 4-bedroom homes in a peaceful semi-rural setting. Caddick Civil Engineering is responsible for the essential infrastructure works, ensuring a sustainable and accessible development. The site is a 17.7ha level area used for agriculture, with overhead power lines, a gas main, hedgerows, and mature trees on the perimeter, bordered by agricultural fields to the north and west, agricultural land and a farm to the east, and residential properties, football pitches, and allotment gardens to the south.

Scope of Works

• Principal Contractor for the first 12 weeks on site
• Careful navigation of an intermediate pressure gas main, surface water drainage, and overhead cables scheduled for diversion.
• Construction of a new bellmouth entrance along the site frontage, including service diversions, footpaths, street lighting and surfacing.
• Installation of pipe runs and manholes for both foul and surface water drainage.
• Construction of a detention basin including bentonite liner circa 2000m3
• Installation of a 2350m3 capacity attenuation tank.
• Installation of a pumping station and rising main over 400m in length along a main A road.
• Initial groundwork for road construction.
• Crushing and re-use of excavated rock on-site.
• Delivery of the first 35 new plots to ground floor slab including all associated external works and driveways.
