Haribo Project Sacha

Caddick have recently been awarded the contract for a new, purpose-built Haribo warehouse at Castleford. The extension will be built on 13 hectares of land next to the existing Haribo plant on Whitwood Common Lane, beside the M62.
The works comprise the design and construction of a new 83,411 sq. ft steel framed Warehouse for the storage of finished and raw food products and packaging including 3,122 sq. ft of office and administration space.

The works also include the construction of a 6,695 sq. ft elevated and enclosed conveyor link to the existing production building and modification works to the structure and facade of the building to facilitate connection to the new conveyor link and platforms, together with other associated ancillary areas including chilled and flammable raw ingredient stores and substation.

External works include associated earthworks, landscaping and utilities.

All works are to be undertaken whilst the existing facility remains fully operational, works will be conducted seamlessly without causing any disruption to the ongoing operations of Haribo’s facilities.
