York Christmas Toy Appeal Receives £350 of Children’s Gifts

In the run-up to the festive period, Caddick Construction sites across York have donated over £350 worth of children’s toys to the YorkMix Toy Appeal 2023. The regional campaign aims to ensure that no child wakes up on Christmas day without a gift, and relies on charitable donations to make this possible.

Caddick is currently building two sustainable residential developments across York, Duncombe Square and Burnholme Green on behalf of City of York Council. The two schemes are set to deliver the city’s first passivhaus homes.

The york-based residential developments raised the funds in the run-up to Christmas with charitable donations coming from employees at Caddick Construction, Linsco Recruitment, Connolly Broadley Construction, Rendeserve and Readyfix.

The funds raised were then used to purchase children’s toys and the Caddick team delivered the gifts to YorkMix’s Toy Appeal in early December ahead of the big day.

What people say?

We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making this all happen. It's fantastic to see people working in the industry and giving some insight to the pupils about what the various careers in construction involve.
