Caddick has reached completion of two new industrial units at Indurent Park in Meaford, forming the first phase of Indurent’s 1.05 million sq ft development on the outskirts of Stone in Staffordshire.
Work on the two industrial units began in February 2024 and has seen Caddick build a combined 111,000 sq ft of warehousing and associated office space as well as car parks, service yards, landscaping and ecology work for local habitats.
Located at the former Meaford Power Station, the new BREEAM Excellent development forms part of Indurent Park Meaford, which offers a range of industrial unit sizes close to J15 of the M6.
The project builds on Caddick’s portfolio of work on behalf of Indurent, a leading developer, owner, and operator of industrial and logistics space across the UK, which also includes the development of two new industrial units at Trident Business Park in Warrington.
Elsewhere in the Midlands, Caddick is also currently on site at Vernon Park in Wolverhampton where the contractor is building a 100,000 sq ft distribution warehouse on behalf of Staffordshire County Council.
Ray O’Sullivan, Regional Managing Director of Caddick Construction Midlands, commented: “There is a fantastic pipeline of industrial developments in the Midlands, and this is a mark of its connectivity, and strategic position in the UK’s distribution network.
“Ensuring we match supply to demand is reliant on being able to deliver developments that are suited to the diverse needs of businesses, but also making sure we deliver adaptable, efficient and high quality space. The team have done an exceptional job at Indurent Park Meaford and we look forward to building our portfolio of industrial projects in the Midlands over the coming years and months.”
Marcus Riley, Development Manager at Indurent, commented: “The regeneration of Meaford Power Station will deliver significant benefits for the local economy. By repurposing a derelict site as high-quality new warehousing, it will support the growth of the advanced manufacturing and distribution sectors. Planning consent is in place for extensive further development at Meaford, with on-site power secured, meaning the site is well-positioned to be a key employment hub for years to come.”
