A Durham charity that provides free care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses has received a funding boost from regional contractor, Caddick Construction Group.
The £3,600 donation has been made to St Cuthbert’s Hospice and will go towards the provision of specialist end-of-life care and bereavement support for local families at their most difficult times.
Forming part of Caddick’s charitable programme in the North East, the funding injection includes £1,800 raised by Caddick staff through fundraising events and a match-funded donation from Chairman, Paul Caddick.
Speaking of the donation, Paul Dodsworth, MD at Caddick Construction Group, says: “St Cuthbert’s Hospice is a very special place for me personally. The incredible work they do for their patients, while also providing empathy and compassion makes a huge difference for families. My family benefited from the amazing support of St Cuthbert’s when my father-in-law, Gerry, received the best care possible and we cannot thank the hospice, and their remarkable staff enough.
“The work of St Cuthbert’s Hospice makes such a huge difference at the most challenging times and I’m pleased to be able to raise these funds to help them continue supporting families across Durham and the North East.”
