Caddick Earns Prestigious Gold Membership in The 5% Club

Yorkshire-based construction company, Caddick, has been granted Gold accredited membership as part of The 5% Club’s Employer Audit Scheme highlighting the business’ commitment to empowering employees through apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and sponsored student placements.

Achieving Gold status acknowledges Caddick’s dedication to nurturing the growth and development of its workforce. The award underscores Caddick’s belief that investment in people is the cornerstone of success. Through programs that offer hands-on learning, Caddick is creating pathways for professional growth and equipping its staff with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

By being part of The 5% Club, the Yorkshire headquartered business stands alongside over 1,000 employers dedicated to driving positive change. The organisation represents a powerful movement of companies working together to make workplace training more inclusive, diverse and accessible.

Sue Currey, Head of HR at Caddick Construction Group comments: “We are honoured to have been recognised as one of the outstanding Gold members of The 5% Club; as a strong regional contractor, the opportunity we have to offer apprenticeships, training and workplacements is a huge privilege we never take for granted. As a business, Caddick has always dedicated a vast amount of its time and resources to invest in the next generation and provide opportunities for professional and personal growth. As we embrace The 5% Club’s principles in our values and invest in young people across the region, we continue to help shape the future workforce.”

Paul Dodsworth, Managing Director at Caddick Construction Group: “Having started out as an apprentice bricklayer myself, I understand first-hand the benefits that training initiatives can have on our industry. Those new to construction often add exceptional value, bringing fresh ideas, creative thinking and a lot of enthusiasm to the table. Our apprentices are directly employed by our business, but we also help to support apprenticeships throughout our supply chain. This makes training collaborative, hands-on and high quality, which is everything our future workforce deserves. It’s a privilege to have been recognised by The 5% Club, and we look forward to continuing our support for trainees, apprentices and graduates across the business.”

Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club, commented: “We are incredibly proud of the outstanding employers, like Caddick, who have gone above and beyond to invest in the future of their workforce through a diverse range of 'earn and learn' initiatives. Their dedication, especially during these challenging times, deserves to be celebrated. By achieving Gold membership, Caddick has shown an exceptional commitment to shaping the skills of tomorrow, contributing not only to their business but to the wider economy.”
