Caddick Construction is set to expand its foothold in the Midlands with a target pipeline of £1bn alongside a forward order book of £300m as the business draws to a close its second year in the region since launching.
The projected growth follows a series of significant project wins for the business. These include a £43m contract to build Cole Waterhouse’s flagship regeneration development, Upper Trinity Street in Digbeth, and the neighbouring Stone Yard scheme on behalf of Moda Living and Aviva Capital Partners.
Firmly establishing itself in the region, Caddick has so far completed £90m of project work, including Mansion House at Urban Splash and Places for People’s Port Loop in Birmingham, the first project to be awarded to Caddick in the region.
The business has also delivered a number of industrial developments in the region, including the recent completion of Vernon Park in Wolverhampton, and a £28m urban logistics scheme at Foundry Business Park, where work commenced in the summer.
Recruitment has also played a key part in Caddick’s success, with the regional team expanding from 10 to over 75, including four site-based apprentices. The business also recently appointed a dedicated Social Value Manager to bolster the region’s education engagement, charitable causes and volunteer initiatives.
Ray O’Sullivan, Regional Managing Director at Caddick Construction Midlands, commented:
“We are closing the door on our second year in the Midlands with a strong order book of £300m, a significant milestone that underscores the dedication and talent of our growing team. From securing our first contract at Port Loop to building a forward pipeline of £1 billion, we’ve firmly established ourselves in the region. Caddick’s longstanding reputation for quality and financial strength has been essential in strengthening our presence and earning the confidence of our Midlands partners and communities. With a robust order book and continued recruitment, we are excited for the next phase of growth and our ongoing contribution to the region’s built environment.” Ray O’Sullivan, Regional Managing Director at Caddick Construction Midlands
