Caddick Construction is set to accelerate its growth in the public sector market across the North West, North East, Yorkshire and the Midlands with the appointment of Steve Foster as Head of Frameworks.
The newly created role marks a strategic move for the growing construction business, which will target increased presence on both regional and national procurement frameworks as it looks to balance its private and public sector portfolio.
Steve joins Caddick having held a number of project management, delivery and framework lead positions, specialising in education projects across secondary, further and higher education.
Steve also brings client-side experience to the role having held the position of Project Manager for the Department for Education, overseeing projects under the School Rebuilding Programme.
A veteran of the British Army, Steve joined the construction industry in 2012 following 23 years of service and has since built a breadth of experience across site management, pre-construction, procurement and project delivery.
Based from Caddick Construction’s Wakefield headquarters, Steve will fulfil a remit across all regional construction businesses, and build Caddick’s portfolio in education as well as healthcare, leisure and housing.
As Head of Frameworks Steve will lead the strategic delivery of Caddick’s portfolio of framework contracts, while identifying new opportunities to grow the business’ public sector procurement footprint.
This currently includes Caddick’s recent appointment to Prosper’s £500m New Build Development Framework, with lots covering Yorkshire, the North East, North West and East & West Midlands.
Caddick is also present on NEPO Construction Works Framework, which covers a range of public sector works for contracting authorities in the North East, and Great Places Housing Group’s Innovation Chain North (ICN) Framework.
Steve commented:
“Caddick is in a time of change; its growth is steady, strategic and organic. The journey the business is on makes this a very exciting opportunity for me. The people here, and the business’ culture, make Caddick dynamic and forward thinking, but it’s also a business that prioritises quality over everything and always looks to add value. As someone who has worked so extensively with and for the public sector, I appreciate and share in those values, and look forward to playing my part in the continued success of Caddick Construction.”Steve Foster, Caddick Constriction Group Head of Frameworks
Helen Drennan, Caddick Construction Group Business Development Director, added:
“Over the past three years we have increased our presence across a number of leading, strategically selected procurement frameworks in a move to balance our portfolio of public and private sector projects. Steve’s appointment is a key milestone in our growth, and will see us steadily expand our framework presence to bring quality, efficiency and extensive social value to much-needed housing, healthcare and education investments.”Helen Drennan, Caddick Construction Group Business Development Director
