Farington Park Takes Shape As Steel Frame Work Progresses On Development's Second Phase

Caddick Construction has ramped up work to deliver the second phase of Farington Park in Lancashire on behalf of Caddick Developments, with the steel frame progressing on the 96,000 sq ft industrial development.

Work on site has advanced significantly, with Caddick Construction progressing the four detached units following delivery of the industrial park's 544,000 sq ft first phase, which became Victorian Plumbing's North West logistics hub, having reached completion by Caddick in 2023.

Funded by Arrow Capital Partners and Cerberus Capital Management, the new units form the final phase of Caddick Developments' 50-acre Farington Park in Leyland, designed to meet increasing demand for mid-box industrial and logistics space in the North West market.

The new units range from 14,750 sq ft to 33,000 sq ft and will be designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent and EPC A ratings. Caddick have also invested around £1,000,000 in local ecology and community assets.

This includes a seven-acre park, upgrades to public rights of way, outdoor gym facilities, walking paths, cycle storage and EV charging stations. The team have also de-culverted a nearby river to open up new habitats for local wildlife while also completing a section of the Leyland Loop cycleway.

Dave Saville, Regional Managing Director of Caddick Construction North West, commented:

"Building on the success of the first phase at Farington Park, our team is making excellent progress as the steel frame takes shape on the second phase, delivering another high-quality industrial development that responds to continued demand for well-connected, sustainable logistics and manufacturing space across the North West.

"We're also pleased to be working closely once again with Caddick Developments to deliver another important scheme in the North West, continuing our strong track record of collaborating to bring high-quality developments to the region. As construction progresses, we're focused on maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and sustainability, ensuring Farington Park demonstrates how commercial development can generate long-term value for both occupiers and the wider region."
