One Year On As Caddick Eyes £160m North East Pipeline

Caddick Construction is forecasting a significant period of growth one-year-on from launching in the North East with a growing pipeline of projects, reinforcing the contractor’s commitment to one of the UK's most active development markets.

Since launching in the region, Caddick has secured contracts totalling £127m through its appointment to a number of high profile projects. These include Placefirst’s Galley’s View build-to-rent scheme in Sunderland and Richardson Barberry’s new DPD parcel hub at Newton Aycliffe.

Caddick launched its presence in the region with the opening of new premises at Adelaide House at Belmont Business Park in Durham last year, which became a dedicated regional base to a team of 54.

Over the past 12 months, the strategically located office has become a key hub for Caddick, supporting the business' expanding portfolio, new client relationships and creating opportunities for North East based recruits and supply chain partners.

Since opening its doors, the Durham office has grown its team, welcoming 36 new and local talented colleagues across operational, commercial and project management roles to enhance Caddick’s regional capabilities.

The business’ presence in the North East has also seen Caddick support a range of local good causes. This includes St Cuthbert’s hospice in Durham, for which Caddick raised £11,000 through a Christmas tree recycling initiative earlier this year.

Also growing in the region are Caddick’s specialist sub-contracting businesses, CCL Facades and Caddick Civil Engineering, both of which are expanding their contract pipeline with Caddick Construction and third party clients.
