Overview
Caddick Construction delivered a major creamery extension at Arla Foods’ flagship dairy in Stourton, Leeds, as part of a wider £70 million investment programme. Initially appointed to deliver a £2.8 million traditional construction project involving both new build and complex refurbishment within the live fresh milk dairy, Caddick worked closely with Arla’s management team and process engineers to ensure seamless operations throughout delivery. Following the successful completion of the initial phase, Caddick was invited to lead a significantly larger £24 million expansion through a two-stage tender process. The project included substantial structural alterations, process infrastructure upgrades, and new-build elements, all undertaken within a highly controlled, fully operational production environment. The result strengthened Arla’s capacity and efficiency, supporting its long-term sustainability and growth within the UK dairy sector.
