Caddick transformed a disused industrial unit into their new UK headquarters which incorporated a modern workplace design.

The project significantly expands the facility from 11,000 sq. ft to 15,000 sq. ft, accommodating 140 staff members in an environment designed to foster
collaboration and innovation.

Overview

Central to this redevelopment is the introduction of a two-storey extension, coupled with a glazed front and a double-height atrium reception that seamlessly integrates cafe space, enhancing employee engagement and comfort.

The renovation involved comprehensive works, beginning with the removal of the existing façade and the creation of a new central atrium that serves as a focal point.

Efforts to reclad the building not only improve its thermal performance but also enhance its aesthetic appeal, contributing to sustainability objectives. Enlarged ground floor windows were incorporated to maximise natural light, thereby reducing reliance on artificial lighting and
minimising glare and overheating issues.
