Caddick Construction is currently delivering a new purpose-built warehouse facility for Haribo at Whitwood Common Lane in Castleford.

The development is being constructed on a 13-hectare site adjacent to Haribo’s existing production plant beside the M62. The scheme includes an 83,411 sq. ft steel-framed warehouse for the storage of finished and raw food products, along with 3,122 sq. ft of office and administration space. Once complete, the project will significantly expand Haribo’s operational capacity, supporting growth and improving efficiency across its UK manufacturing operations.

Design & Construction

The works include the construction of a 6,695 sq. ft elevated and enclosed conveyor link connecting the new warehouse to the existing production building, along with façade and structural modifications to integrate the link and associated platforms. Ancillary areas such as chilled and flammable ingredient stores, a new substation, and associated utilities are also being delivered.

External works comprise earthworks, landscaping, and service installations, all undertaken while the existing facility remains fully operational. Meticulous planning and coordination ensure that construction proceeds seamlessly without disrupting Haribo’s ongoing production activities.
