Caddick Construction has been appointed to deliver the Kew Extracare scheme in Southport, Merseyside, on behalf of Torus Homes

The development will deliver modern extra care accommodation designed to support independent living for older residents. Providing a total of 141 properties, 118 apartments will be in the main extra care facility, 18 in two separate independent living buildings and 5 in mews houses. The scheme will also feature high-quality communal spaces, such as a bistro, hair salon, and communal lounge, to encourage social connection amongst the residents.

Energy Efficiency

Supported by over £11m in grant funding from Homes England, energy efficiency is central to the design of the development. This includes solar panels, electric panel heaters, and hot water heat pump cylinders, eliminating the need for gas and creating a more sustainable, eco-friendly project.
