The Moorside Road development in Eccleshill, Bradford, features the creation of a new housing estate with high-specification, energy- efficient 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes.

Caddick Civil Engineering is delivering the essential groundwork and infrastructure, including site preparation, drainage systems, and access roads, to ensure the site is ready for construction.

Significant site slope with two distinct areas: the active Fagley Quarry and the disused Radfield Quarry, posing challenges due to varying depths, stockpiles, and a watercourse flowing into the active quarry.

Previous use as grazing land and quarry operations left remnant structures, uneven ground, and potential contamination risks. Extensive earthworks, including cutting and filling, were required to achieve the desired development levels.

  • Completed trenching and backfilling for essential utilities, including gas, water, electricity, BT, and green ducts to each plot
  • Built 3.2m retaining walls address significant level variations
  • Delivered S278 junction improvement works on a busy A road
