Caddick Construction completed the design and construction of a new residential apartment scheme on Stuart Road in Pontefract, on behalf of Wakefield District Housing.

The site, previously home to a fire station, was transformed into a 3-storey block of 37 one - and two-bedroom apartments accessed via a communal area and available for affordable rent. The homes reflected the industrial heritage of Pontefract while offering high-quality, contemporary living.

Sustainable, Connected Living

The development incorporated modern amenities including external lighting and EV charging points in the car park. External works included all associated roads, drainage, and incoming services. The scheme formed part of Wakefield Council’s Reconnecting Pontefract Masterplan, contributing to the redevelopment of priority areas around Pontefract town centre and providing local people with affordable and high-quality housing.
